Sara Duterte Pleads Businessmen to Stop Taking “Shortcuts” When Applying for Business Permits and Bribing Government Employees!
- Sara Duterte pleads the businessmen to help stop corruption in the country.
- She specifically told them that they should not bribe government employees.
- She also said that they should not resort to "shortcuts" in securing business permits.
It’s not just President Rodrigo Duterte who is actively pursuing corrupt government officials and politicians. His daughter Sara Duterte is following in his footsteps as well because she told businessmen to stop taking “shortcuts” whenever they would apply for business permits. She said this in an effort for them to help stop corruption in the country.
According to a report by ABS-CBN News, Sara Duterte said this particular statement during the 24th National Retail Conference that is being held at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay.
Their official website said it will run from August 10-11, 2017. The event is considered the biggest and most important one among Filipino retailers because it will gather over 800 retail owners, top-level retail executives, and industry suppliers.
Sara Duterte said to the businessmen:
“In local government units, we bend over backwards para lang ipasok niyo investment sa lugar pero wag naman i-shortcut, huwag ‘yung babayaran na lang mga tao. Our country is bleeding because of government corruption but clients are just equally guilty of corruption.”
Sara Duterte added:
“Let us be responsible partners in achieving progress and development for the Philippines.”In March of 2017, Philippine Star reported that President Duterte also appealed to the businessmen in Cebu to support him in his stance against corruption. He told them that they should directly report any signs or acts of double-dealing to him. He said: “Help me minimize or do away with corruption. I can’t help the Filipinos kung hindi ninyo ako tulungan. Akong bahala sa inyo.”
He was at the induction of the newly elected officers of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) in the Waterfront Airport Hotel & Casino located in Mactan, Cebu.
